Good friends Ashley and Dave - I'm so happy for them! I just love the way he looks at her...and love the way her veil falls down her back.

Going with Grass
I just love these shots of the kids playing in the grass. Photos were taken at Michell Brothers Farm on the Saanich Peninsula.
Go ahead, take my hay!
Give a kid some grass and he'll entertain himself for hours.
Green gumboots. I need to get a pair.
Hiding in the long grass.

Pumpkin Patch
There is something warm and comfortable about farms in fall. Perhaps it's the wool toques out after the summer or the gumboots or the smell of pumpkin seeds and butter nut squash roasting in the oven. Here are some of my favourites from a photo shoot at the Michell Farm pumpkin patch, on the Saanich Peninsula, a few weekends back.
Oh where, oh where can that perfect pumpkin be?

Susan Rybar Photography website is live! Wheee...
If you are one of those friends who have been following Tunicate for the last few years, you would have noticed less writing and more photography. I guess a picture really is worth a thousand words... or at least a few dozen, in the case of blogging.
So without writing too much more, click here to see three years worth of thousands of words all wrapped up neatly into my new website: Susan Rybar Photography.
Many thanks to Morgan Hirtle who designed and created the site, and was fantastic to work with. Thanks also to Gagan Diesh who was the catalyst and support, and hooked us up. Thanks to my in-house technical support, available 24 x 7. You are all amazing! And lastly thanks to the friends, family and clients whose faces and memories now live here, too.

Summer time
Summer time.... and the blogging is a little behind. Wanted to share a few photos.
Family reunion on a Shuswap dock:
Who doesn't have summer memories of days in a lifejacket?
Lazy days in a sun dress:
Hanging on the grass:
Summer cottages are for finding snails and slugs, bats and sun fish, new friends and old, treasures on the beach:
And of course, a good ole fashioned game of crib during happy hour:
